Bayer's Crop Science is engaged in plant protection, varietal seeds and non-agricultural products. We are looking for a proactive, resilient and highly skilled System Agronomist to join our pan-Baltic team of dedicated agriculture professionals in Latvia.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Secure Research & Data Analytics.
- Technical support of the Crop Strategy Leads and sales organization.
- Define Trial priorities and supervise trial management (in country and regional level.
- Support Product Teams in testing strategy, protocols design, crop production expertise.
- Secure the upload of the trial data/research projects to data tools.
- Secure crop systems components prioritization.
- Provide APT Testing recommendations.

- Support Market Share & Revenue Growth driven by the technical product dimension.
- Development/repositioning of current commercial offering & introduction to the market advanced production systems enchancing company’s competitve edge.

WHO YOU ARE
A candidate with:
- University Degree in agronomy, sales, marketing, business development, management or strategic planning.
- Profound experience in and understanding of crop production technology across wide range of arable crops.
- In-depth understanding of the agronomy specifically related to arable crops, including pest management, soil health, use of BLX/CNE and digital farming solutions in faming practices of various segments.
- Comprehensive knowledge of regenerative agriculture practices, including soil conservation, cover cropping, crop rotation, and integrated pest management.
- Familiarity with the EU agricultural policies and sustainability standards, ensuring crop strategies comply with environmental regulations and promote sustainability practices.
- Understanding market surroundings/competitors and their strengths, weaknesses, and market strategies. Identifying opportunities for differentiation and competitive advantage.
- Knowledge on Field Trails Design & Implementation and further integration of technical insights into marketing strategies.
- Fluent in English and Latvian language.
