Finland is a base for global pharmaceutical production, research & development and worldwide clinical trials. In Finland, Bayer employs roughly 1000 people, located in Espoo and Turku. The Turku production facility is part of Bayer's global pharmaceutical manufacturing organization, where we focus on the production and distribution of polymer-based drug delivery systems.
We are now seeking for our operations in Turku a talented and motivated Manufacturing System Architect (SAP) for a permanent position to play a key role in enhancing our production processes and driving development initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and make a significant impact on our operations.
As a Manufacturing System Architect (SAP), you will be pivotal in enforcing and supporting production processes while acting as the primary interface between production and our global support functions. You will tackle system issues related to SAP and the SAP-MES interface, supporting various stakeholders in both operational and project tasks. Additionally, you will represent production in critical projects, including the future implementation of SAP S/4HANA at our Supply Center in Turku.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the main production interface to our global support function.
- Identify and resolve issues in production processes within SAP.
- Represent production interests in the development of production-related systems.
- Assist in troubleshooting processes across various systems.
- Challenge the status quo and actively propose process improvements.
- Participate in the change management process concerning Master Batch Records and production-related master data.
- Support system validation activities, including test script preparation and execution.
- Prepare and assist in the creation and updates of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
WHO YOU ARE
- A relevant technical educational background, e.g. Bachelor’s degree.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Proven ability to drive and coordinate various topics, with sound decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal presentation skills in both English and Finnish.
- Familiarity with general principles of SAP PP/PI, SAP WM, and/or SAP-MES.
- Knowledge of SAP QM and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is an advantage.
