Are you passionate about transforming data into actionable insights? We are looking for a skilled Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Expert to join our dynamic team in the Nordic Cluster Area. Position can be based in any of the offices within the Nordic Cluster Area (Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Estonia, Latvia or Lithuania).
In this pivotal role, you will ensure data availability and quality while driving data translation into performance, ultimately contributing to the success of our organization. As a BI and Data Expert, you will be responsible for maintaining data governance, ensuring data quality, and facilitating data availability. Your expertise will enable us to leverage our Commercial Data Platform (CDP) effectively, driving data-driven decisions that enhance business performance.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure robust data governance and maintain high data quality standards across the organization.
- Optimize the use of the Commercial Data Platform (CDP) for maximum efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with various functions within the Nordic and Global Bayer organization to analyze data, identify risks, and uncover business opportunities.
- Build and maintain new data and analytical dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
- Administer efficient processes for capturing and maintaining all metadata.
- Document business findings and ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., sampling).
- Lead assigned local and cluster data projects, driving innovative solutions.
- Identify and engage with new vendors to enhance data quality and efficiency, while managing contracts with less efficient service providers.
WHO YOU ARE
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Applied Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in a data-focused environment.
- Extensive knowledge of data science, analytics, and statistical modeling.
- Extensive programming experience in SQL and experience in at least two of the following areas: Python, Snowflake and Databricks.
- Experience applying data science methods to solve business problems and utilizing advanced analytical techniques in a commercial context.
- Skilled in data visualization using platforms like Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
- Background in sales management, marketing, market analysis, target setting, and reporting system management is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different stakeholders.
- Highly self-motivated with strong organizational skills and a hands-on approach.
- Assertive, analytical problem solver with a can-do attitude.
- Fluency in English is required.
